our lady church

Our Lady of Perpetual Help in Windham gathered an incredible amount of donations for the animals at Harvest Hills! We were overwhelmed on Sunday April 11, 2010 when this group of hard working children, along with their families came to the shelter. They donated everything from dog and cat food and treats, litter, toys, cleaning supplies and much more. What a wonderful group! Thank you so much, we really appreciate the support!

The POM Project
Since May of 2009, Bobby Silcott has been on a mission. His mission is to help equip local rescue organizations with Pet Oxygen Masks (POM) designed for both large and small animals. To do this Bobby received the necessary education to qualify him to teach Red Cross Certified classes on Animal First Aid and CPR. Bobby has volunteered his time, so proceeds from these classes have gone toward the purchase of these much needed masks. Harvest Hills currently services 19 towns and the goal was to equip all of these towns with masks.
Recently Steve Chase (pictured left), Fryeburg resident and owner of Bea's Restaurant in Conway NH stepped forward and offered to purchase the masks for all 19 towns! This will allow the POM project to reach beyond the Harvest HIlls service area. The cost to take the class is $40 prepaid and includes a book, CD and certificate. Call Bobby to learn more about upcoming classes in your area at 207-647-1112.
